About this game
Super Mario 3D World sends you through courses toward a goal flag, using jumps and power-ups to get past obstacles. The Super Bell adds wall climbing and claw attacks, while character choice changes your movement: Luigi jumps higher and Peach can briefly float. Up to four players can tackle this adventure together, cooperating or competing along the way. Bowser’s Fury gives Mario a different task: explore Lake Lapcat and its islands to gather Cat Shines. Fury Bowser periodically brings storms and attacks to the area before calm returns. Bowser Jr. provides adjustable assistance, or another local player can control him. The two adventures pair course-by-course progression with exploration across a connected setting.
Collected in series

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for players who want both focused platforming goals and room to explore.
Course flags give 3D World a clear destination, while Cat Shines encourage a more exploratory approach in Bowser’s Fury. That contrast may suit players who enjoy changing structure without leaving movement and power-ups behind.
Strengths
- Cat climbing and distinct character abilities should reward experimenting with how to cross a course.
- Adjustable Bowser Jr. assistance offers a way to tailor support during island exploration.
Who it is for: Players drawn to goal-based platforming, character-specific movement and an additional exploration-led adventure.
Play notes: Bowser’s Fury uses Mario and Bowser Jr. for local cooperation and does not support online or local wireless play.
