About this game

Mario sets out to rescue Princess Peach, crossing ground, underground and underwater courses. Running and jumping carry him past obstacles, while landing on suitable enemies defeats them. The course timer keeps counting down as you advance. Items change what Mario can do. A Super Mushroom increases his size and allows him to break bricks; a Fire Flower adds a ranged fireball attack. Movement and power-up use therefore shape the route through each stretch of terrain.

Collected in series

Super Mario is Nintendo’s platform-adventure series, first launched in 1985. Mario and his friends leap through the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond, exploring colorful worlds and tackling playful challenges. Mushrooms, coins, pipes and surprising power-ups make every adventure full of discoveries.
