About this game
As the mercenary Shez, choose a house and follow its path through a different story in the world of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Battles combine direct action with command: use attack combinations and special abilities against enemy groups, give allies orders and switch to another character when you want to take control elsewhere. Classes change both a fighter’s available actions and their matchups. The campaign moves between preparation, the war map and combat. Back at camp, train companions and spend time building relationships through conversation and shared activities. Choosing a route determines the story you follow, while developing your allies shapes the force you bring into its battles.
Collected in series
Fire Emblem’s main tactical RPGs combine turn-based battles with the growth and relationships of a fantasy army. Choosing where each ally stands matters as much as deciding whom to train, and getting to know the cast gives those battlefield decisions a personal edge.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
For action players who want battlefield command to matter alongside their own attacks.
Direct combat, allied orders and class matchups give you several ways to influence a battle. Camp preparation should appeal to players who want those fights connected to character development and relationships.
Strengths
- Orders and character switching offer ways to respond beyond the fight immediately in front of you.
- Class-dependent actions encourage experimenting with how a companion fights.
Weaknesses
- The preparation–war map–battle cycle may interrupt the flow for players seeking uninterrupted combat.
Who it is for: Players interested in developing a squad and managing its deployment while still controlling the action themselves.
Play notes: The house choice directs the story into a particular route, so choosing an allegiance is also choosing the narrative to follow.
