About this game
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 brings its two puzzle systems into direct competition. Versus lets opponents choose different games, while Swap changes between separate boards at fixed intervals. Skill Battle adds another layer: choose characters for their abilities, spend MP on skills, and equip Item Cards to strengthen the team. Clearing Puyos or Tetris lines sends nuisance pieces that damage opposing HP. Adventure connects puzzle stages through a map with side-story branches and comic character conversations. Winning its Skill Battles can produce randomized Item Cards for your team. Lesson mode separately explains the fundamentals of both puzzle games, providing a place to learn the rules before tackling their combinations.
Collected in series
Puyo Puyo Tetris brings two falling-block puzzle styles into one competitive series. Build chains of matching Puyos or clear lines with Tetriminos, then explore rules that pit the games against each other, switch between them or combine them on one board.

A promising match for puzzle players who enjoy changing rules and building teams.
Choosing between mixed-system matches and timed board swaps could keep familiar puzzle skills under different kinds of pressure. Skill Battle adds team preparation to that appeal, although randomized cards may matter less to players interested only in placement technique.
Strengths
- Versus can accommodate opponents who prefer different puzzle systems.
- Character skills and equipment offer reasons to consider a team before a match.
Weaknesses
- Random card rewards may encourage repeat stages when a particular team setup is the goal.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy both competitive puzzles and experimenting with character abilities.
Play notes: Players seeking contests without team equipment may prefer Versus to Skill Battle.
