About this game
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S brings the two puzzle systems together for battles built around stacking, chains and combos. Its distinctive Doubles mode puts two players on a shared board, each controlling pieces that fall at the same time. Placement becomes a joint task as teammates build their arrangement together. For solo progression, Adventure mode moves through a map of puzzle battles and missions that advance the story. Lessons introduce chain-building and stacking, while the character roster includes Sonic the Hedgehog. The Adventure story carries over from Puyo Puyo Tetris 2; the 2S additions include shared-board play and an alternative way to move pieces with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
Collected in series
Puyo Puyo Tetris brings two falling-block puzzle styles into one competitive series. Build chains of matching Puyos or clear lines with Tetriminos, then explore rules that pit the games against each other, switch between them or combine them on one board.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Most appealing when you want puzzle placement to become a shared conversation.
Doubles could reward partners who enjoy coordinating a plan while both are placing pieces. Adventure missions and lessons offer a separate route for players who prefer structured solo practice.
Strengths
- A shared board gives partners a concrete reason to discuss placement.
- Lessons and map-based missions offer different entry points into the puzzle systems.
Weaknesses
- Returning players seeking a new Adventure story may find the carried-over narrative less compelling.
Who it is for: Puzzle players who enjoy practicing combinations or communicating closely with a teammate.
Play notes: Doubles local wireless and internet play require version 1.0.5 or later; online play also requires internet access and paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
