Shin Megami Tensei is Atlus’s RPG series about supernatural upheaval and competing visions of the future. Demon negotiation and fusion shape your party, while exploration, difficult choices and weakness-based battles drive its mainline adventures. Representative games: Shin Megami Tensei (1992): Your decisions shift allegiances and the ending along competing paths of belief. Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne (2003): Exploiting weaknesses earns more actions through the Press Turn battle system. Shin Megami Tensei V (2021): Explore Da’at, a ruined landscape populated by gods and demons. Suitable for: Players who enjoy rebuilding a party and weighing choices without an obvious moral answer. Much of the pleasure lies in fusing the right ally, covering a weakness and turning a battle around.
