About this game
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book sends Yoshi into the pages of a talking encyclopaedia to investigate unusual creatures. Try actions on them and record discoveries in the book. Certain creatures can become throwable eggs, while the Tail Flick lifts creatures or objects onto Yoshi's back for further actions. Creature abilities also affect exploration: some blow bubbles that carry Yoshi through the air. Progress through habitats to open further chapters, then name the creatures you have investigated or accept the book's suggestions. Tokens found around the areas can be exchanged for hints about where to focus your next investigation.
Collected in series
Yoshi’s games give Nintendo’s long-tongued companion room to lead, especially in platform adventures full of little discoveries. Flutter over a gap, swallow an enemy and aim an egg at something curious. Picture-book landscapes, yarn and cardboard change the scenery, while hidden paths and collectibles invite a second look beyond the goal.
