About this game
Yooka-Replaylee reworks Yooka-Laylee into a collectathon built around exploring open 3D worlds with its returning duo. Jump through the environments and complete challenges to gather Pagies, which unlock further worlds. Each world is already expanded, and Yooka and Laylee have their abilities from the outset, so the adventure develops through finding and completing activities rather than buying access to their basic moves. Alongside Pagies, collect coins to spend at Vendi on Tonics and equip several enhancements together to adjust your playstyle. A world map shows your location, while the challenge tracker identifies outstanding activities. Returning music receives orchestral arrangements, accompanying the search for the next challenge and collectible.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for explorers who enjoy choosing their own collectible hunt with a full movement toolkit.
Starting abilities and already-expanded worlds should put the emphasis on spotting challenges and deciding where to explore. Pagie requirements give that freedom a progression goal, while combinable Tonics offer a separate reason to experiment.
Strengths
- Having the movement abilities immediately could make curiosity more useful than waiting for a move unlock.
- Combining Tonics offers scope to tailor the adventure instead of treating every collectible as the same kind of reward.
Who it is for: Players drawn to open 3D platforming, collectible searches and experimenting with modifiers.
Play notes: World access still depends on collecting enough Pagies; the open layout does not remove progression requirements.
