About this game
Tomba sets out after the evil pigs to recover his grandfather's bracelet. You guide him through 2.5D environments with jumping, biting and throwing actions, following a platforming adventure that combines a forward route with opportunities to explore. Meeting characters, opening quests and finding hidden treasure are part of the journey alongside the action. Special Edition adds tools around that adventure: save wherever you are or rewind to revisit an attempted action. Its remastered soundtrack accompanies the game, while a museum collects packaging, manuals, artwork and development documents. This Nintendo Switch 2 version therefore includes both the playable quest and material documenting the original work.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for platforming fans who like following discoveries as well as a route forward.
Quests and hidden treasure give curious players reasons to investigate beyond the immediate platforming task. Saving anywhere and rewinding can make experimentation less costly, while the museum adds a separate attraction for readers interested in game history.
Strengths
- Quest discovery gives exploration a purpose alongside the jumping and throwing.
- Save-anywhere and rewind tools can make it easier to retry an idea without repeating as much prior action.
Weaknesses
- The nonlinear exploration may distract from the direct stage-clearing flow some platforming players prefer.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy searching a platforming world for characters and quests, particularly those interested in archival extras.
