About this game
Kiryu's return to Kamurocho draws him into the conspiracy surrounding Haruka. You fight using interchangeable styles, pick up street objects as weapons and spend EXP to strengthen his abilities. Encounters with Majima provide a separate route to recovering Dragon of Dojima techniques, while karaoke and customizable miniature-car racing offer activities outside the main story. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition accepts save data from the Nintendo Switch version. That transfer works in one direction: progress from this edition cannot be sent back to the Switch version.
Collected in series
Like a Dragon, formerly known in English as Yakuza, follows people trying to hold on to loyalty and dignity amid crime and betrayal. Dense city districts invite you to step away from serious drama for games and eccentric side stories. Some entries use direct-action brawling, while Ichiban Kasuga’s adventures bring a party into turn-based combat.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A crime-and-combat adventure suited to players who enjoy developing several fighting approaches.
The mix of styles and improvised weapons invites experimentation within Kiryu's story. Switch save transfer adds a practical route for existing players to continue that progression.
Strengths
- Combat style changes make speed and power distinct approaches to explore.
- Existing Switch progress can provide a starting point for continuing the adventure.
Weaknesses
- Recovering Dragon abilities may feel like a detour if Majima fights do not interest you.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy a recurring rival, urban diversions and a voiced crime story.
Play notes: Save transfer is one-way; Switch 2 progress cannot return to the Switch version.
