About this game
Yakuza Kiwami remakes the series' first story around Kazuma Kiryu's return to Kamurocho and his encounter with Haruka. Street fights let you switch between balanced brawling, rapid attacks, heavy blows and the Dragon of Dojima style. Objects lying nearby can become weapons, adding another option alongside Kiryu's own moves. Progression involves both spending EXP on abilities and confronting Majima to recover Dragon of Dojima techniques. Away from the central conspiracy, Kamurocho offers karaoke and Pocket Circuit, where you customize miniature cars before racing them. The adventure combines Kiryu's criminal entanglements with activities that take you beyond the next fight.
Collected in series
Like a Dragon, formerly known in English as Yakuza, follows people trying to hold on to loyalty and dignity amid crime and betrayal. Dense city districts invite you to step away from serious drama for games and eccentric side stories. Some entries use direct-action brawling, while Ichiban Kasuga’s adventures bring a party into turn-based combat.

AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for players who want street fighting woven into a crime drama.
Style switching and improvised weapons offer reasons to vary your approach to fights. Majima-based progression should appeal most when recurring rival encounters are part of the attraction.
Strengths
- Different styles and street weapons provide several ways to approach a confrontation.
- Karaoke and car customization offer breaks with different kinds of interaction.
Weaknesses
- Dragon-style progression may feel restrictive if you would rather avoid repeated Majima encounters.
Who it is for: Players drawn to criminal intrigue, adaptable melee combat and optional city activities.
