About this game
Yakuza Kiwami 3 follows Kazuma Kiryu as a resort development plan threatens the Okinawan orphanage he runs. Across Okinawa and Tokyo, his battles offer the Dragon of Dojima and Ryukyu styles, with the latter turning traditional Okinawan weapons into attack combinations. Away from fighting, you cook, garden and help the children with homework at Morning Glory. Those daily interactions also strengthen Kiryu and unlock the children's individual substories, connecting caregiving with character development. The collection includes Dark Ties as a separate game starring Yoshitaka Mine. His shoot-boxing attacks and aerial combinations provide a different combat vocabulary, while Dark Awakening changes the moves at his disposal.
Collected in series
Like a Dragon, formerly known in English as Yakuza, follows people trying to hold on to loyalty and dignity amid crime and betrayal. Dense city districts invite you to step away from serious drama for games and eccentric side stories. Some entries use direct-action brawling, while Ichiban Kasuga’s adventures bring a party into turn-based combat.

A promising fit for players who want character drama expressed through contrasting combat and everyday responsibilities.
Kiryu's weapon style and Mine's aerial shoot boxing suggest different routes into the collection's brawling. Morning Glory's chores also feed character growth and substories, which may reward players who enjoy spending time with a cast between fights.
Strengths
- Different protagonists and fighting systems offer a reason to explore both included games.
- Caregiving contributes to progression, giving quieter activities a role beyond a break from combat.
Who it is for: Players drawn to street fighting, character-led side stories and a protagonist whose responsibilities extend beyond defeating enemies.
