About this game
Estelle and Joshua begin their work as junior bracers in the Kingdom of Liberl, recreated here in 3D. Their adventure includes guild bulletin-board quests, with the Bracer Notebook automatically recording assignments and key story events. This full remake returns to the first Trails in the Sky chapter. Combat combines real-time Quick Battles with turn-based Command Battles. Attack and evade in the former; in the latter, issue orders while considering where allies and enemies stand. Powerful Crafts and Arts bring a tactical commitment because their recovery can leave a character waiting before acting again. Outside individual attacks, equipping quartz in tactical orbments develops character statistics and unlocks orbal Arts, linking preparation to the options available in battle.
Collected in series
Trails follows connected groups of adventurers across Zemuria, where small local jobs gradually reveal larger political conflicts. Conversations and returning characters reward attention, while party battles revolve around turn order, Crafts and magical Arts, with later games also offering field action.

Worth considering for an RPG journey built around preparation and two contrasting battle styles.
Quick Battles and Command Battles suggest different ways to engage with the same adventure: direct attacks and evasion, then decisions about position and recovery. Quartz development may particularly appeal to players who enjoy shaping a party's tools before using them.
Strengths
- Customizing statistics and unlocking Arts through quartz can give character preparation a tactical purpose.
- Automatically recorded guild quests may help keep the adventure's assignments organized.
Weaknesses
- Those wanting action alone may be less interested in the positioning and recovery calculations of Command Battles.
Who it is for: RPG players drawn to guild quests, character preparation and turn-based positioning alongside real-time combat.
