About this game

Peach takes the leading role when an invading troupe seizes the theater. With guardian Stella's ribbon, she interacts with the stage and rallies its actors, then takes on transformations whose abilities change the task at hand. Swordfighter Peach slashes, dodges and counterattacks; Detective Peach questions locals and searches for clues; Patissiere Peach bakes and decorates sweets against the clock. The adventure moves through theatrical stages with these different roles. Alongside their immediate tasks, each stage has collectible stones: gathering its full set earns a photograph for the album. Coins can also be spent on dresses for Peach and ribbons for Stella.

8.1 / 10Nintendo Switch

A good conceptual fit for players who enjoy changing activities within a theatrical adventure.

Transformations may keep attention moving between combat, observation and timed tasks. Collectible photographs can give detail-minded players a reason to pursue more than the immediate stage objective.

Strengths

  • Different roles can offer variety through changes in what the player actually does.

Weaknesses

  • Players interested only in sword combat may find less appeal in the investigation and baking activities.

Who it is for: Players drawn to character transformations, theatrical settings and a mixture of action and observation.
