About this game
Vampire Survivors puts you among supernatural hordes with movement as your direct control: equipped weapons attack automatically. Collect crystals dropped by defeated enemies to level up, then choose from randomly offered weapons and improvements. Your route through the crowd determines where your attacks can work and which pickups you can reach. Progress extends beyond an individual attempt. Gather gold to purchase power-ups for future runs, refund those purchases freely to try another allocation, and unlock further characters, weapons and stages. The gothic setting also accommodates local cooperation: up to four players can share Joy-Con controllers, although level-ups are distributed in turns rather than awarded to everyone together.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for players who enjoy shaping an arsenal through movement and upgrade decisions.
Automatic attacks make positioning and upgrade selection the likely center of attention, rather than repeated firing inputs. Unlocks and refundable power-ups could give players who enjoy experimentation a reason to approach the next attempt differently.
Strengths
- Random upgrade offers can make choosing between a new weapon and strengthening existing equipment a meaningful recurring decision.
- Free power-up refunds should make experimenting with between-run allocations less costly.
Weaknesses
- Players who chiefly enjoy manually aiming and firing may find the automatic attacks less involving.
Who it is for: Players interested in movement-based survival, changing weapon combinations and local cooperative sessions.
Play notes: Local co-op distributes level-ups to players in turn, so individual advancement is shared across the group.
