About this game
Oliver sets out into another world hoping to bring back his mother. His journey takes you through fields, towns and dungeons, with battles that combine moving around the battlefield and choosing commands. You can switch direct control between party members and familiars, whose abilities differ. As the story progresses, opportunities to recruit defeated monsters open up. Leveling familiars and feeding them treats develops these companions alongside the journey. Choosing which ones to raise becomes part of preparing for battle. Studio Ghibli animation and Joe Hisaishi's music accompany the adventure, and an Easy mode with changeable difficulty offers another way to approach its challenges.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A suitable prospect for players who want creature development woven into a story-led journey.
Raising familiars gives exploration a parallel goal beyond following Oliver's story. Switching combatants while moving and choosing commands should appeal to players who enjoy managing several kinds of decisions at once.
Strengths
- Different familiar abilities give development choices a practical connection to combat.
Weaknesses
- Movement and command selection may feel less restful to players who prefer battles conducted entirely through deliberate menu choices.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy developing creature companions and adjusting their role in a party.
