About this game
Luigi's Mansion 2 HD sends the nervous ghost hunter into haunted mansions to recover the Dark Moon's scattered shards. Missions take him into differently themed buildings, where catching a ghost starts with a flash of charged light and ends with the Poltergust's suction. That same equipment also shapes the exploration. Use suction and air blasts to move objects and solve puzzles, reveal hidden objects with the Dark-Light Device, and spend discovered treasure on equipment upgrades. The investigation links ghost encounters with looking carefully through rooms. A separate ScareScraper mode offers cooperative tower climbing for up to four players, with each participant using their own system and game.
Collected in series
Luigi’s Mansion sends Mario’s nervous brother into haunted buildings to catch ghosts and untangle their puzzles. A flashlight, a ghost-catching vacuum and a close look at suspicious furniture turn each room into a little investigation, with plenty of comic surprises.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A ghost-hunting adventure for players who enjoy inspecting rooms as much as clearing encounters.
Using the Poltergust for both capture and environmental puzzles could make exploration feel connected to the action. Treasure-funded upgrades give room searches another purpose, while mission-based investigations offer distinct objectives.
Strengths
- One central tool supports both ghost encounters and environmental problem-solving.
- Hidden objects and upgrade-funding treasure could make careful room inspection rewarding.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy puzzle-filled locations, tool-based exploration and a visibly nervous protagonist.
Play notes: Cooperative play takes place in the separate ScareScraper mode. Each player needs a system and game; online play additionally requires internet access and Nintendo Switch Online.
