About this game

In COCOON, a place you explore is also an orb you can carry. Move between these worlds and rearrange them to solve puzzles, working out how a world’s position relates to the places inside it. Ancient biomechanical devices form part of the environments you interact with. As orb abilities unlock, the worlds become tools for use elsewhere. Reveal hidden routes and objects, or fire projectiles to activate switches. The journey passes through industrial structures and organic caverns, while guardian encounters introduce their own mechanics to learn. Progress involves understanding both the relationships between worlds and the particular challenge in front of you.

9.0 / 10Nintendo Switch

A compelling premise for puzzle players who enjoy treating space itself as something to manipulate.

Making a world both a destination and a carried tool can turn navigation into a question of relationships. Unlockable orb abilities give players further reasons to reconsider what each world can do elsewhere.

Strengths

  • The world-and-object duality offers a clear basis for spatial deduction.
  • Using orb abilities across worlds can encourage connections between apparently separate locations.

Weaknesses

  • Guardian encounters may be less welcome if you want puzzle-solving without battles.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy environmental logic, nested spaces and learning a puzzle system through its interactions.
