About this game
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment takes the Imprisoning War linked to Tears of the Kingdom onto battlefields filled with enemy troops and bosses. You fight as Zelda, Rauru and other heroes, switching the controlled character during combat to use different fighting styles as the war unfolds. Your choices extend beyond individual attacks. Pair allies to perform different Sync Strikes, or combine a hero's abilities with Zonai Devices. Against powerful enemies, a correctly chosen Unique Skill can interrupt certain attacks and expose a weak point. You can also share the campaign's battles with another player through split-screen co-op on one system, with a single Joy-Con 2 usable by each player.
Collected in series
The Legend of Zelda is Nintendo’s action-adventure series, which began in 1986. Link’s journeys often bring him together with Princess Zelda and into conflict with Ganon in the land of Hyrule. Exploration, puzzles and combat lie at its heart, with a curious detour often leading to a new discovery.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for players who want Hyrule's history expressed through crowd combat and character combinations.
Switching heroes and varying Sync Strike partners may reward curiosity about how the cast works together. Counters against powerful enemies add a reason to watch for particular attacks amid the wider fighting.
Strengths
- Character switching, partner attacks and Zonai Devices offer several ways to experiment with a combat approach.
- Weak-point counters may give focused enemy encounters a different emphasis from fighting through troops.
Who it is for: Players interested in the Imprisoning War who enjoy managing combat choices across a team of heroes.
Play notes: Same-system co-op uses split-screen, so both players share the display.
