This collection brings together SUPER BOMBERMAN through SUPER BOMBERMAN 5 among its included games. Place bombs to break blocks and defeat enemies, then gather items to power up. Individual entries add their own rules: in SUPER BOMBERMAN 5, choosing an exit after clearing the enemies determines which stage comes next. Outside Boss Rush, anytime saving and loading plus rewind let you revisit an attempt. Boss Rush instead puts consecutive boss battles into a time attack and disables those assistance functions.
