About this game

Prepare customer orders and serve dishes before diners become impatient, coordinating a team of chefs through kitchens that change during cooking. Throw ingredients to one another, cross moving platforms and use teleporters to keep work moving. The adventure travels between kitchens on an overworld map, with local and online multiplayer supporting up to four chefs. Nintendo Switch 2 Edition adds GameShare and CameraPlay. It also supports online play with the original Switch release, and progression can transfer between the editions in either direction. GameShare requires a Switch 2 host; online sharing uses GameChat and requires internet, a Nintendo Account and Nintendo Switch Online, subject to regional availability and GameChat requirements.

8.8 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A fit for groups who enjoy reorganizing a shared task when the kitchen changes.

Throwing ingredients and reacting to changing layouts can make coordination as important as completing individual orders. Cross-generation online play and GameShare provide additional ways to assemble that cooking group, within their respective conditions.

Strengths

  • Throwing ingredients gives teams a concrete way to work across separated kitchen spaces.
  • Cross-generation online play can help friends on the two editions keep cooking together.

Weaknesses

  • Groups that prefer settled roles may find changing layouts demand more renegotiation than they want.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy shared problem solving and adjusting a team's work while orders keep arriving.

Play notes: GameShare needs a Switch 2 host. Online sharing additionally requires GameChat, internet, a Nintendo Account and Nintendo Switch Online, with regional availability and GameChat conditions.
