About this game

A young survivor wakes to a shattered world and heads for the Bastion, a refuge that still needs rebuilding. You search for the materials needed to complete it, exploring hand-painted environments and fighting the creatures encountered along the way. In combat, movement and defense create opportunities to strike: evade an attack, find an opening, then bring your chosen weapons into play. Weapons can be upgraded and paired in different combinations, while experience levels open further ways to customize your character. Choosing equipment is therefore part of shaping how you approach the next fight. A reactive narrator follows your actions and helps reveal the world behind the catastrophe. No-Sweat Mode offers a story-oriented option, and finishing the main story unlocks New Game Plus for another journey with the game's systems.

8.1 / 10Nintendo Switch

A promising fit for players who want weapon experimentation accompanied by an active storytelling voice.

Upgradeable weapon pairings suggest room to explore a preferred fighting style, while movement and attack openings keep attention on the encounter itself. Reactive narration could make ordinary actions feel connected to the setting; its pervasive presence is also a meaningful taste preference.

Strengths

  • Weapon pairings and upgrades could reward experimenting with how you approach a fight.
  • A narrator who reacts to actions may give exploration a stronger sense of narrative context.

Weaknesses

  • Players who prefer quiet exploration may find the pervasive narration too prominent.

Who it is for: Players interested in movement-based combat, adjustable weapon combinations and a story delivered during play.

Play notes: The English voiceover matters if you intend to follow the story chiefly by listening.
