About this game

Rayman and his companions enter magical paintings and travel through the worlds within them. You move through these stages by running, jumping and fighting, with platforming puzzles forming part of the route through each world. The paintings provide the adventure's setting, while movement and overcoming obstacles provide its recurring activity. Musical levels ask you to jump to the rhythm, adding a different rule to the platforming. The adventure supports local cooperative play for up to four players, and Kung Foot tournaments provide a separate local multiplayer activity. In undocked play, touchscreen features also let you manipulate the environment and defeat enemies.

8.8 / 10Nintendo Switch

Rhythm-shaped platforming for players who enjoy timing their movement, with a local cooperative option.

Linking jumps to music can make timing a distinct attraction for players who enjoy following a beat. Local cooperative adventure and Kung Foot tournaments offer different ways to organize a shared session.

Strengths

  • Musical stages give rhythm-minded players a concrete relationship between what they hear and when they jump.
  • Cooperative adventure and local Kung Foot tournaments provide both shared progress and competition.

Weaknesses

  • Following the musical rhythm may feel restrictive if you prefer setting your own movement pace.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy obstacle-focused platforming, musical timing and playing alongside friends locally.

Play notes: Touchscreen interaction with the environment and enemies is available when Nintendo Switch is undocked.
