About this game
WORLD OF HORROR follows investigations in Shiokawa, where players choose cases, question people and confront supernatural creatures in turn-based combat. Finding and defeating a case's culprit opens the way to another investigation. Events can drain stamina and sanity, while even small actions can increase Doom; filling that meter ends the run. Cases unfold through randomized encounters and can reach different endings. Following another investigation therefore involves both uncovering its mystery and managing the resources threatened along the way. The game presents these stories through 1-bit artwork and a chiptune soundtrack. Saving pauses a run for later continuation, rather than creating a reusable point from which to undo decisions.

AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for horror readers who enjoy making irreversible survival decisions.
Rising Doom and dwindling stamina and sanity can make investigation feel like a series of costly commitments. Random encounters and alternative case endings may reward curiosity, provided you enjoy adapting rather than restoring an earlier decision.
Strengths
- Investigation and resource loss can give small choices consequences beyond the current encounter.
- Alternative endings offer a concrete reason to revisit a mystery with different decisions.
Weaknesses
- Players who prefer testing choices through repeated reloads may find the suspend-save rule restrictive.
Who it is for: Players drawn to supernatural casework, turn-based encounters and accepting the consequences of a run.
Play notes: Resuming a suspended run consumes its save; it is not a reusable checkpoint for reversing decisions.
