About this game

Splinter has been captured by the Foot Clan, and the Turtles head into New York to bring him back. Choose a brother with his own abilities, fight through rooms and combine powers into a build. Unlocking and leveling Turtle powers accompanies the recurring cycle of combat and adaptation. Power-ups, room layouts and boss modifiers are randomized between runs, so choosing a character is only the start of shaping an attempt. Build combinations can also work alongside those of your allies. This Nintendo Switch 2 Edition retains cooperation on one console and adds local GameShare, connecting nearby Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 systems so teammates can use separate devices.

Collected in series

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games put the four brothers’ weapons and teamwork into playable comic and cartoon adventures. The franchise spans several styles, with side-scrolling brawlers making a particularly recognizable home for its street fights, strange enemies and shared-screen chaos.

7.8 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A promising fit for Turtle fans who enjoy adapting a combat build across repeated runs.

Distinct Turtle abilities and changing upgrades give build experimentation a clear foundation. Combining powers with allies may make cooperation especially appealing to groups that enjoy adjusting their approach together.

Strengths

  • Character abilities and power combinations offer concrete choices beyond selecting a favorite Turtle.
  • Local GameShare may make separate-device cooperation convenient for a group gathered in one room.

Weaknesses

  • Randomized power-ups may frustrate players who want to reproduce one exact build on every attempt.

Who it is for: Players drawn to cooperative brawling, character-specific abilities and experimenting with changing power combinations.

Play notes: Each multiplayer participant needs a compatible controller.
