About this game

Scott Pilgrim EX combines street fighting with exploration across interconnected parts of Toronto. Choose a fighter with their own combat style, chain attacks into combos and bring weapons into the fight. Character development sits alongside those moment-to-moment choices: earned coins fund upgrades, while equipped badges improve statistics and add bonuses. Quests give you reasons to travel through the city and look for hidden areas. You can tackle the adventure alone or join local and online cooperative sessions with up to four players, entering or leaving through drop-in/drop-out play. Anamanaguchi provides new music for the journey, linking the fighting and city exploration to a fresh soundtrack.

8.5 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A good conceptual match for brawler fans who enjoy adjusting a build while exploring between fights.

Distinct fighters, weapons and badge bonuses suggest several layers of experimentation around the combat. The interconnected city adds a reason to investigate routes and quests, which should appeal to players who want exploration alongside their combos.

Strengths

  • Character styles and badge effects offer separate decisions about how to fight and how to equip a fighter.
  • Drop-in/drop-out co-op gives a group flexibility to join the adventure without maintaining an unchanged party.

Who it is for: Players who like experimenting with combat setups, seeking hidden areas and sharing a brawling adventure with friends.

Play notes: Online play requires an internet connection, a Nintendo Account and Nintendo Switch Online membership.
