About this game
Haste turns escape into a running challenge viewed from behind your character. Race through worlds as they fall apart, linking jumps with landings that build speed; a fumbled landing costs momentum. Each Shard contains procedurally generated levels, and reaching the next Shard means finishing its levels before you exhaust your lives. During a run, gather Sparks to spend on items in shop levels. Those items alter variables such as speed and health, giving each attempt choices beyond movement alone. Biome variations and bosses form part of the journey, with an endless mode available to unlock. Online cooperative play lets players tackle the full game together while still recording individual level times.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for players who enjoy protecting momentum while adapting to changing terrain.
Because landings affect speed and levels are procedural, Haste’s rules suggest a movement challenge built around adjustment rather than a single memorized route. Item choices add another layer to each attempt, while the life limit makes consistency relevant across an entire Shard.
Strengths
- Landing quality gives individual jumps a consequence for the speed of the next stretch, which may reward attention to movement details.
- Spending Sparks on items can make a new attempt an opportunity to change your approach as well as improve your execution.
Weaknesses
- Needing to finish a Shard within its life allowance may frustrate players who prefer progress without the possibility of a failed attempt.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy movement practice, procedural routes and experimenting with how items affect a run.
Play notes: A single console supports solo play; playing cooperatively online requires an internet connection and a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
