About this game
Hades II sends Melinoë into repeated battles against the forces of the Titan of Time. Place a Cast to slow enemies within its circle, then use weapons and Magick-powered Omega moves to attack. Boons from the gods shape your abilities during a run, but those temporary benefits reset when you are defeated. Progress also happens between attempts. Materials gathered on your journey unlock Arcana cards that remain available after defeat, while setbacks and accomplishments both contribute to the unfolding story. Hand-painted environments and voiced characters frame this cycle of combat and return. An optional God Mode provides assistance for players who want help continuing the journey.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Witchcraft-driven action for players willing to trade a lost build for another experiment.
Enemy-slowing circles and Magick expenditure create a combat framework with decisions beyond choosing a weapon. Arcana persistence and the continuing story should support repeated attempts without removing the need to reconstruct each run's boons.
Strengths
- The Cast adds enemy control to the choices surrounding stronger Magick attacks.
- Arcana upgrades preserve a form of progress when a run ends in defeat.
Weaknesses
- Players attached to one boon combination may dislike having to rebuild after defeat.
Who it is for: Action players who like experimenting with temporary abilities while developing lasting upgrades.
Play notes: Boons reset after defeat; acquired Arcana cards remain available for subsequent attempts.
