About this game

You arrive in South Park as the new kid and enter a fantasy conflict between humans and elves over the Stick of Truth. The adventure follows your search for that object and your efforts to become friends with Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny. Combat is turn-based, putting the children's imagined war into the structure of a role-playing game. Recruit established South Park characters and customize your own character, clothing and weapons as you take part in the adventure. Trey Parker and Matt Stone wrote and voiced the game. Its content includes coarse language, sexual material and violence, so the playground setting comes with adult subject matter rather than a child-oriented tone.

8.2 / 10Nintendo Switch

A fitting premise for South Park fans who want to participate in the joke through an RPG.

Recruitment and customization let the new kid become part of the established cast's fantasy conflict. Turn-based combat should suit players who prefer selecting actions over sustaining a real-time assault, while enjoyment of the adult material remains a central preference.

Strengths

  • Recruiting familiar characters gives fans an active role alongside the cast rather than only watching them.

Weaknesses

  • The coarse language and sexual material may outweigh the fantasy-RPG appeal for players who avoid that content.

Who it is for: South Park fans who enjoy turn-based combat and making a personalized character part of an absurd fantasy conflict.

Play notes: The child protagonists and playground premise coexist with coarse language, sexual content and violence.
