About this game

Snipperclips Plus is an action-puzzle game where your characters become the tools you need. Position their bodies so they overlap, then cut one into a shape that helps solve the task. Different solutions are possible, so deciding what to cut and how to work together is part of the appeal. You can also play solo by switching between the two characters. This Plus edition includes the original content along with extra stages in comic-book and crafting worlds. A replay option changes the characters’ starting shapes, and Stamp Mode lets you make pictures with them. TV and tabletop modes support up to four players with a controller per person; handheld mode is single-player. Owners of the base game need its additional-stage pack to obtain equivalent Plus content.

8.0 / 10Nintendo Switch

A shape-cutting puzzle game to consider if you enjoy discussing solutions and trying ideas with another player.

Changing the characters’ shapes turns the two players’ actions into part of the puzzle. Plus adds stages and a different way to revisit them, so it offers more material than the base game alone without replacing the central cutting mechanic.

Strengths

  • Open-ended solutions give partners a reason to discuss their ideas and coordinate cuts.
  • The extra stages, changing starting shapes and Stamp Mode add different activities around the same characters.

Who it is for: Players who like working out spatial puzzles together, or solo players who are happy to switch between both characters.

Play notes: Local multiplayer needs a controller per player. On Switch Lite, Party and Battle require extra controllers and at least two players; handheld mode is single-player. The base game alone does not contain the additional Plus content.
