About this game
Explore Lumiose City's wild zones, aim Poké Balls at Pokémon and build a team for the battles ahead. Fighting to reduce a wild Pokémon's health makes it easier to catch. Battles unfold in real time, with Trainers and Pokémon moving together as you decide when to issue moves, switch partners and account for attacks' reach. The city gives preparation a daily rhythm: catch and train during the day, then enter nighttime battle zones to climb the Z-A Royale ranks. Mega Evolution temporarily releases greater power and changes a Pokémon's appearance. Defeating rampaging Rogue Mega-Evolved Pokémon also earns Mega Stones, tying those encounters to the tools used for Mega Evolution.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
For Trainers who want team choices to interact with movement and attack timing.
Real-time movement and move reach may make positioning as important to your decisions as selecting a partner. Daytime catching followed by nighttime competition can give team-building a clear purpose within the city.
Strengths
- Choosing when to switch and where an attack can reach may add a spatial layer to directing a Pokémon team.
Weaknesses
- Players who prefer making every battle decision within discrete turns may find the continuous movement less comfortable.
Who it is for: Players interested in catching and training a team, then applying it through real-time commands and ranked story progression.
Play notes: Mega Dimension is separately sold DLC; this draft covers the base Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
