About this game
Take charge of a kitchen where preparing ingredients is only the start. Orders need cooking and serving before customers lose patience, and dishes also need washing. With other players, the work can be divided between preparation, the stove and delivery, while kitchens on a swaying pirate ship or moving trucks change the setting around those familiar jobs. Clearing stages opens the route to further kitchens. Special Edition brings together the original game's kitchens with The Lost Morsel and Festive Seasoning, extending the cooking journey into jungle and Christmas settings. You can play alone or with up to four people on one system; larger groups need additional controllers.
Collected in series
Overcooked is a cooking-action series about keeping orders moving through kitchens that seem determined to stop you. Chop ingredients, watch the pans and get dishes to the counter before time runs out. Shifting layouts turn a simple division of jobs into frantic teamwork.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for groups who enjoy coordinating practical jobs under pressure.
The preparation-to-serving workflow gives teammates concrete responsibilities to negotiate. Pairing those jobs with unusual kitchen environments should appeal to players who enjoy adapting a shared plan while orders demand attention.
Strengths
- Separate kitchen jobs create room for purposeful cooperation rather than everyone pursuing an unrelated objective.
Weaknesses
- Customer patience makes this a less natural fit for groups seeking an unhurried cooking activity.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy calling out tasks, dividing work and adjusting their responsibilities with nearby teammates.
Play notes: For four-player sessions, provide additional compatible controllers beyond the detached Joy-Con pair used by two players.
