About this game

After an attack destroys your hometown, a custom-created protagonist sets out on a journey of restoration. Invite people you meet to settle there and arrange buildings as you rebuild. A training facility also lets companions pass skills into equippable forms that other allies can use. In battle, organize a party of up to eight characters and switch between front and rear rows. Strike weaknesses to break enemy shields and temporarily stop their actions, then decide when to spend accumulated Boost Points on attacks, healing or support. Outside combat, Path Actions let you challenge townspeople or obtain items. Pixel art and 3D environments combine in the game’s HD-2D presentation.

9.1 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A strong conceptual fit for players who enjoy linking party planning with the growth of a home base.

Front-and-rear formation choices, enemy weaknesses and Boost spending provide several reasons to plan a turn. The training facility gives town development a practical connection to combat, which should appeal to players who enjoy systems feeding into one another.

Strengths

  • Breaking enemies and choosing when to spend Boost Points create a meaningful offense-versus-recovery decision.
  • Turning companions’ skills into shared equipment can make rebuilding the town relevant to party experimentation.

Weaknesses

  • Players seeking combat alone may find the additional town and skill-management decisions less appealing.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy turn-based resource decisions, experimenting with party roles and developing a customizable home base.

Play notes: The cited US edition lists Japanese and English; its Chinese catalog name does not establish Chinese-language support. Saves move from Switch to Switch 2, not back.

Restoration and skill sharing give players a reason to alternate between developing the town and reconsidering their combat party.

Breaking an enemy before committing Boost Points offers a clear planning opportunity, while healing and support compete for the same resource.

The mixture of pixel characters and 3D scenery should appeal to players who enjoy traditional sprite imagery with spatial depth.

One-way save transfer makes Switch-to-Switch-2 migration possible, but does not suit a plan to keep moving the same progress back and forth.
