About this game
As a Rogue Trader, you travel between star systems aboard a voidship and make decisions that affect the people and worlds you encounter. The Koronus Expanse is also a place of competing noble and privateering families, giving your expedition a setting shaped by rival interests. Your companions fight alongside you, and their personal journeys offer opportunities to influence their fates. Combat proceeds in turns. Position the party around environmental cover and use companions' abilities to confront enemies. The adventure therefore involves decisions at two levels: how to handle the people encountered across the region, and how to deploy the group when a battle begins. Following companions' stories sits alongside the wider journey between systems.
Collected in series
Warhammer games bring Games Workshop’s fantasy and science-fiction worlds into strategy, role-playing and action. Some put you in command of armies, while others take you into close combat alongside a small team, so the experience depends strongly on the branch you choose.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for players who want tactical command and consequential role-playing in the same expedition.
Cover and companion abilities could make party placement a satisfying planning problem. Decisions that affect inhabitants and companions give that command role a personal dimension beyond winning the next encounter.
Strengths
- Party positioning and distinct abilities provide concrete tactical decisions to consider together.
- Influencing companions' fates could make relationships feel relevant to the wider expedition.
Who it is for: Players interested in deliberate turn-based tactics and choosing how a powerful leader treats other people.
Play notes: The turn-based combat structure is a fundamental preference point for players seeking direct, reflex-led fighting.
