About this game
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection puts you alongside the monsters as a Rider who raises companions and fights with them. In turn-based encounters, head-to-head attack types counter one another, giving you a concrete reason to consider the attack you select. The story unfolds amid environmental deterioration that threatens monster species with extinction. Protecting those species also shapes progression. Invasive Monsters require tactical actions that force a retreat; afterward, you can enter their dens to recover endangered eggs. Hatch monsters and release them through Habitat Restoration to rebuild populations and raise the area's Ecosystem Rank. Higher ranks improve the chances of finding special skills or genes in future hatches, linking the companions you raise with the wildlife you restore.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for players who want monster raising to influence both battle choices and the surrounding ecosystem.
Attack-type counters suggest a battle rhythm built around choosing responses, while retreat encounters ask for a different tactical objective. Habitat Restoration could give collecting a broader purpose for players who enjoy improving future companions through repeated nurturing decisions.
Strengths
- Restoring populations can make the monster-raising loop feel connected to the world's ecological stakes.
- Countering attacks and forcing retreats offer distinct problems for players who enjoy tactical decisions.
Weaknesses
- Players who prefer overcoming every encounter through damage alone may find the required retreat tactics restrictive.
Who it is for: Players drawn to turn-based decisions, egg collecting and gradual improvements to the monsters available in an area.
Play notes: Online play is not supported.
