About this game

Samus Aran explores the unknown planet Viewros in a first-person adventure built around investigating the environment and acquiring abilities. Switch to the Scan Visor to analyze ancient writing, creatures and unfamiliar materials. Progress involves gaining powers that let you enter areas you could not reach before. Psychic abilities provide specific ways to interact with those obstacles: the Psychic Glove activates responsive mechanisms, while the Control Beam lets you bend a charged shot's trajectory. Beyond the ruins and research facilities, Samus rides Vi-O-La across Sol Valley, a desert hub linking different areas. The journey takes her through environments including jungle and cold research facilities, with exploration and new capabilities shaping where she can go next.

7.8 / 10Nintendo Switch

An investigation-led adventure for players who like abilities to change their route forward.

The Scan Visor and newly acquired powers may suit players who enjoy interpreting obstacles before overcoming them. Psychic mechanisms and steerable beam trajectories give that investigation concrete actions to work with.

Strengths

  • Ability-based access can give exploration a clear connection between discovery and progress.
  • Psychic mechanisms and a steerable beam may satisfy an interest in solving spatial problems through specific powers.

Weaknesses

  • The need to investigate surroundings may be a mismatch for players mainly seeking a continuous sequence of firefights.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy exploring from a character's viewpoint and learning how new abilities change accessible space.
