About this game
John Marston's family is threatened by federal agents, forcing him to hunt the outlaws he once rode with. You travel on horseback across the American West and Mexico, following his pursuit and taking on bounty-hunting jobs. A wanted poster starts a hunt, and the fugitive can be brought back dead or alive. In gunfights, Dead Eye slows time for aiming, but using it drains its meter. The included Undead Nightmare story changes the setting into a zombie outbreak with Marston fighting for survival. These editions contain the single-player adventures; multiplayer content is not included.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A good fit for solitary Western adventures with deliberate moments inside the gunplay.
Dead Eye gives players a reason to consider when to spend their aiming advantage, rather than treating every encounter identically. Bounty hunts and the separate zombie story should appeal to those who want different situations within Marston's single-player adventures.
Strengths
- Bounty targets can be taken dead or alive, giving a hunt a concrete decision beyond simply finding its target.
- Undead Nightmare offers a supernatural change of premise alongside the Western story.
Who it is for: Players drawn to horseback journeys, outlaw stories and shooting with a limited slow-time resource.
Play notes: Multiplayer content is absent from this edition.
