About this game
Mega Man Legacy Collection brings together the original games from Mega Man through Mega Man 6. You cross stages by jumping past hazards and shooting enemies, then confront Robot Masters whose weapons become part of your arsenal when you defeat them. Progress through each adventure combines reaching the next boss with expanding the weapons available to you. The collection adds ways to return to a difficult section: rewind reverses recent gameplay, while save states let you preserve a position at almost any point. Challenge Mode rearranges stage material into separate trials. Away from the stages, Museum Mode collects concept art and promotional material, placing the original 8-bit adventures alongside material from their history.

AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for players who enjoy learning classic action stages through repeated attempts.
Acquiring boss weapons can make progress feel like an expanding set of options as well as a test of jumping and shooting. Rewind and save states should make focused practice more convenient, while remixed challenges offer a separate reason to revisit stage material.
Strengths
- Rewind and save states can help isolate a troublesome section for practice.
- The art archive gives players interested in the series' history something to explore beyond the stages.
Who it is for: Players interested in classic platform action, boss weapons, and practicing individual encounters.
Play notes: This collection covers Mega Man through Mega Man 6; the later games are in the separate Mega Man Legacy Collection 2.
