About this game
DAVE THE DIVER connects underwater fishing with the work of running a sushi restaurant. During the day, you explore the Blue Hole and catch sea creatures with a harpoon and other weapons. Those catches become ingredients for the restaurant's nighttime service, linking what you bring back from the sea to what the business can sell. Restaurant profits and gathered resources are used to upgrade and forge equipment for later expeditions. Oxygen is a limit with consequences: running out means leaving collected fish and items behind. Minigames and side quests sit alongside this recurring diving-and-management loop, while the underwater world combines pixel art with 3D graphics.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for players drawn to the exchange between risky dives and restaurant growth.
The appeal rests on making a catch useful twice: first as food to sell, then as income for equipment. Because this edition retains the same game content, its design remains most attractive to players who enjoy both halves of that cycle.
Strengths
- Restaurant income gives gathering and equipment improvement a shared purpose.
- The oxygen-loss rule can turn returning to the surface into a meaningful decision.
Weaknesses
- The alternating restaurant work may not suit someone seeking a dedicated diving game.
Who it is for: Players who want fishing, resource investment and restaurant management to support one another.
Play notes: This edition retains the underlying game content; the edition change does not add a new campaign.
