About this game
As a member of the ESS Starseeker crew, you travel from the station to Tephra to gather resources and complete objectives. Use the Scan Pulse to locate materials, collect them with the EXO Multi-Tool, and keep your oxygen supply in mind as you decide when to head back. The planet includes wetlands, jungles and oceans. Back aboard the station, gathered materials feed into crafting more advanced equipment for later outings. Repeatable Tasks also build Reputation. Alongside planetary exploration, Voidbreak Offensives offer squad-only scenarios with specific objectives. The recurring loop links preparation, fieldwork and return: what you bring home helps equip the next expedition.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for crews who enjoy planning what to gather and when to return.
The oxygen limit can give resource gathering a useful sense of priority, while station crafting gives each return a practical purpose. Squad-only Offensives offer a more directed alternative when a group wants explicit shared objectives.
Strengths
- Scanning, gathering and crafting can make discoveries matter to the next expedition.
- Instanced Offensives can give a squad a clear task to organise around.
Weaknesses
- Players who prefer uninterrupted wandering may find oxygen-limited outings restrictive.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy cooperative fieldwork, equipment preparation and deciding how much to accomplish before heading home.
Play notes: This is an evolving Early Access game; under the Laser Array update, failed expeditions can still cost carried resources or consumables.
