About this game
Arkanoid makes the moving Vaus craft your tool for rebounding an energy ball into space walls. Position it to keep the ball in play and send it back toward the remaining targets. Gold walls cannot be destroyed, so the layout also includes permanent barriers. Falling capsules change the situation by widening Vaus, slowing or splitting the ball, or adding a laser. Each new capsule replaces the previous effect. The original manual describes both standard left-right controls and a dedicated turning-knob controller.
Collected in series
Arkanoid is Taito's arcade brick-breaking series, built around steering the paddle-like spacecraft Vaus and keeping an energy ball in play. Reading rebounds, catching power-ups and clearing the remaining blocks give each screen its own little battle of timing.

For players who enjoy positioning and deciding whether to change a useful power.
Permanent walls affect the ball’s routes, while replacement powers make collection a choice. That combination may suit players who enjoy adapting to a changing playfield.
Strengths
- Capsules alter the current task instead of merely adding points.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy rebound aiming and selective power-up collection.
