About this game

Explore Hyrule's land, sky and depths as Link, choosing your route and using abilities to open a way forward. Ultrahand joins objects into bridges or vehicles, while Fuse changes equipment by attaching materials. Ascend passes through overhead surfaces, and Recall reverses an object's movement. Construction and movement abilities remain central to this upgraded edition of the original adventure. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition allows two save files, so an existing adventure can be retained alongside a new one. It also supports voiced navigation through ZELDA NOTES in the Nintendo Switch App, which requires a compatible smart device and persistent internet. The second save file cannot be transferred to the original Nintendo Switch game.

9.6 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

For inventive explorers who also value a separate restart and optional navigation support.

The construction and equipment systems retain their appeal for players who like devising their own solutions. An additional save file may make a fresh start easier to keep separate, while voiced navigation offers a different way to orient an adventure.

Strengths

  • Building vehicles or bridges can give exploration a practical, player-created focus.
  • A second save file can accommodate a new adventure without replacing existing progress.

Who it is for: Players drawn to experimental exploration who want to keep another adventure or use companion-app navigation.

Play notes: ZELDA NOTES needs a compatible smart device and persistent internet. The second save file cannot be transferred to the original Nintendo Switch game.
