About this game
You awaken from cryogenic sleep aboard the Von Braun without knowing who you are or where you have arrived. Exploring its decks reveals the fate of the crew through the ship itself and the audio logs you discover. This remaster combines first-person action with character development, beginning with a choice of military background: O.S.A., Marines or Navy. As you advance, cybernetic modules can be spent at upgrade units to develop your abilities. Hacking, weapon proficiency and psionic powers give character growth several directions alongside the investigation. The remaster updates character and weapon models and animations. This Nintendo Switch 2 Edition also supports mouse controls and cross-platform cooperative multiplayer.
Collected in series
System Shock blends first-person science-fiction horror with exploration and careful use of supplies. Hostile interiors and the rogue AI SHODAN make survival a matter of understanding your surroundings as well as handling a weapon.
