About this game

Sektori puts movement and aiming at the centre of a ship-based twin-stick shooter. You fight enemies and bosses across a campaign of changing arenas, selecting upgrades and configuring decks to shape your approach. Alternate ships offer another starting choice, while handcrafted waves, levels and bosses are combined and randomized between runs. The campaign travels through five worlds, with difficulty settings that include Revolution. Beyond it are alternate modes such as Classic, Gates and Assault, providing different destinations for further attempts. Techno music accompanies a deliberately colourful, saturated visual style. This is a single-player game, with the emphasis on adapting your shooting and build choices to the encounter in front of you.

8.9 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

Best suited to players who want to improvise their shooting and build choices as encounters change.

Randomized combinations of designed encounters should reward adaptation rather than reliance on one rehearsed route. Ships and upgrade decks add planning to that reactive play, while techno music and saturated imagery suggest an intentionally forceful audiovisual style.

Strengths

  • Configurable decks and alternate ships offer room to experiment with different approaches.
  • Recombined encounters can make reading the current situation more important than memorizing a fixed sequence.

Weaknesses

  • Players who enjoy perfecting an identical route may find randomized encounter combinations less appealing.

Who it is for: Twin-stick shooter fans who enjoy adjusting builds, reacting to changing arenas and choosing their challenge level.

Play notes: Play is single-player; the listed console edition does not offer a shared local campaign.
