About this game

STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life places farming within a life that changes across the years. In Forgotten Valley, you cultivate crops and care for animals, then use produce in recipes, give it as gifts or sell it at your market stall. Hybrid crops and facilities that can be built and upgraded provide ways to develop the farm. Family life grows alongside that work. You can choose a marriage partner regardless of your character's gender option, raise a child into adulthood and help guide the future they pursue. The story moves through chapters from youth to old age, making family development part of progression. This reimagining also lets you customize clothing and hair and take pictures with an in-game camera, recording moments from the life you build.

Collected in series

Story of Seasons is the farming-life series known in Japan as Bokujo Monogatari, with earlier Western games released as Harvest Moon. Grow crops, care for animals and make time for your neighbors as you develop a farm. Individual entries bring different rhythms through family life, village friendships or trade.

A fitting prospect for players who want a farm's development to share the spotlight with a family's changing life.

Produce has several uses, so farm work can feed into earning, cooking or giving. The life-spanning chapters and a child's changing future may give those routines a personal context for players more interested in growing roots than pursuing farm expansion alone.

Strengths

  • Selling, cooking and gifting produce can connect farming decisions to different parts of daily life.
  • A child's development gives progression a family direction alongside hybrid crops and farm facilities.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy crops and animal care but also want marriage, parenthood and the passage of years to matter.

Play notes: The story follows a life into old age; an evolving family timeline is part of the premise, rather than a permanently fixed stage of life.
