About this game

Take charge of Nobita's farm by tilling the soil, sowing seeds, watering each day and harvesting the results. Put crops in the shipping box for Doraemon to collect and exchange for money. Choosing what to plant also means considering the season, since unsuitable conditions can cause crops to wither. Animal care adds another source of produce, including milk, wool and eggs. Life beyond the fields includes fishing and building relationships with residents. Greetings, gifts and requests raise affection, giving social visits a concrete role alongside farm work. Doraemon's secret gadgets also help with agricultural tasks. The game focuses its social systems on these connections rather than marriage, and a cleared save lets you continue with the farm preserved from before the ending.

Collected in series

Story of Seasons is the farming-life series known in Japan as Bokujo Monogatari, with earlier Western games released as Harvest Moon. Grow crops, care for animals and make time for your neighbors as you develop a farm. Individual entries bring different rhythms through family life, village friendships or trade.

7.4 / 10Nintendo Switch

Best aligned with players who enjoy tending a farm and cultivating friendships without a marriage goal.

Seasonal planting, daily care and shipping could make progress feel rooted in maintaining a working routine. Affection-building visits and Doraemon's farm gadgets may offer complementary reasons to move between practical chores and time with the cast.

Strengths

  • Seasonal crop rules could make planning a harvest more meaningful than planting without regard to the calendar.
  • Gifts and requests give relationship-minded players specific ways to develop their connections.

Weaknesses

  • The absence of marriage may limit the appeal for players whose main farming-game goal is romance.

Who it is for: Players who like recurring crop and animal care, resident friendships and a familiar Doraemon cast.

Play notes: Crops can wither out of season, so planting choices need to account for seasonal suitability.
