About this game
Stardew Valley starts with an inherited farm that needs rebuilding. You grow crops, care for animals and add useful machines, while trips into the cave bring encounters with monsters and materials for crafting or improving tools. Farming and exploration feed into the same developing home rather than standing as separate activities. Progress also comes through skills and relationships. Developing your activity skills opens cooking and crafting recipes; getting to know townspeople reveals their personal stories and character scenes. Beyond the farm, you can work toward restoring the community center or take the alternative Joja route. These projects give you different things to pursue as the farm and your place in the town develop.
