Compete against computer-controlled rivals in Grand Prix, test your driving in Time Trials, or share local split-screen races in Grand Prix and Race Park. Nintendo Switch 2 Edition retains the core game content of the other versions. Owners of the Nintendo Switch game can access this edition through a paid Upgrade Pass and carry their save data forward after upgrading.

8.6 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A racer for players who enjoy adapting mid-race and experimenting with equipment.

Travel Rings and altered final laps could reward attention beyond memorizing a single route. Gadgets add preparation decisions, making this a promising fit for players who like adjusting their approach between races.

Strengths

  • Gadgets can give equipment experimentation a direct connection to racing strategy.
  • The combination of Grand Prix, Time Trials and split-screen play could accommodate different kinds of racing sessions.

Weaknesses

  • Changing laps may be less appealing if your main pleasure is repeating an identical course layout.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy route changes, ability combinations and racing with others on a shared screen.

Play notes: The standard game does not include the separately sold Season Pass and collaboration DLC.
