About this game
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid puts Rangers and villains from different generations into three-character tag teams. You fight with light, medium, heavy and special attacks, with single-button special moves. Supporting fighters can enter for assist attacks, and an assisting character can then take over as your active fighter. That makes team selection and the timing of assistance part of each match: an assist has a cooldown, so calling a partner also affects when that support becomes available again. Training and local versus modes provide character command lists in the pause menu. A story mode inspired by the Shattered Grid comics adds a narrative route through the crossover.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fitting option for players who want accessible special inputs and team-combination decisions.
Single-button specials can shift attention toward when to attack and call support. Assist takeovers add a reason to think about the team as a connected sequence, so simple inputs should not be mistaken for an absence of coordination to learn.
Strengths
- Assist takeovers can turn support calls into opportunities to change the active fighter.
- Simplified special inputs can leave more attention available for team timing.
Weaknesses
- Managing three fighters and assist cooldowns may feel demanding if you prefer concentrating on one character.
Who it is for: Players interested in tag-team fighting, experimenting with partner combinations or bringing familiar Rangers into local matches.
Play notes: Purchased add-ons require installation before their content is accessible.
