About this game
Portal: Companion Collection brings together Portal and Portal 2. Inside Aperture Science Laboratories, you open portals to move yourself and objects through space. Progress depends on working out how those connections solve the physical puzzle in front of you, then putting that solution into action. Portal 2 extends this idea with a wider range of laboratory puzzles. Its cooperative campaign has its own story and test chambers, giving a partner a separate set of problems to tackle with you. Split-screen and online play provide different ways to work together, while dark humor accompanies the laboratory challenges.
Collected in series
Portal is Valve’s science-fiction puzzle series about connecting spaces inside the unsettling laboratories of Aperture Science. Its first-person adventures mix physical experimentation with dry humour, while a licensed crossover takes those ideas into bridge building.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for players who enjoy turning spatial ideas into working solutions.
Portal placement makes understanding a room part of the action, which should appeal to experimental puzzle solvers. The separate cooperative campaign offers a different attraction: reasoning through a problem together.
Strengths
- A separate cooperative campaign gives shared problem-solving its own material.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy testing spatial hypotheses and discussing solutions with a partner.
Play notes: Split-screen multiplayer needs a compatible controller for each player; online play requires Nintendo Switch Online.
